Meet Your Therapist- Krystal

Hi, I am Krystal Armstrong, MA LPC CADC ACS. As the owner and therapist at KCC, I am a seasoned clinician with over 20 years in the behavioral health care field. Moreover, I have an extensive skillset in working with individuals with an addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma.   


I received my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University (2003), Master of Arts in Counseling from Wayne State University (2009), and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (2017). Throughout my education, I have received various certifications in Addiction Counseling and Approved Clinical Supervision. Lastly, I am a Mental Health First Aid Instructor- Adult and Youth as well as an Adjunct Professor at University of Detroit Mercy since 2019 and Central Michigan University (2023).

 

I have engaged in countless outreach events, radio broadcasts, community speaking events, and conference presentations on the subject of mental health.

Hi, I'm Stacia Collins. With over 25 years of being in the healthcare industry, I decided to follow my passion as a mental health counselor. I’ve recently earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an Addiction Concentration. My theoretical perspective of counseling is based on the person-centered approach. I believe that each person has the capacity and desire for personal growth and change and the counselor’s attitude fosters a therapeutic alliance with the client. I will embrace each client with a non-judgmental approach with a desire to help clients reach self-actualization. I pride myself on ethics and confidentiality. In 2022 I received the College of Education Learning and Leadership Award from Central Michigan University. I will continue to uphold academic and leadership standards in the counseling profession by ensuring that I provide the most accurate and evidenced-based approaches to each client session. I received national recognition in 2021 for the ethics competition hosted by the American Counseling Association (ACA). Clients should know that their therapist upholds their privacy and confidentiality is at the forefront of each session. My goal is to help each client through life’s journey, one day and one conversation at a time.
